Treatment plan: His hair loss was quite advanced and progressed rapidly, affecting both the hairline and mid-scalp. To cover the nearly bald front, he was wearing a hat. Fortunately, he was a good candidate for surgery, with a sufficient number of donor hairs available. We planned to restore the front using 2,000 grafts to achieve decent density. Lowering the hairline further was an option, but considering his age and pattern of hair loss, we plan to set the hairline slightly higher and use 2,000 grafts without increasing the number, in order to preserve donor hairs for the future.
